Master the art of watercolour with The Watercolour Collective at Avid Art Studio. We offer specialized watercolour painting classes in Singapore for older children (ages 10+), teens, and adults, focusing on foundational techniques, intermediate concepts, and creative expression.
Unlike our Creative Programmes, the Watercolour Collective is a specialist pathway for students who wish to deepen their technical skills and artistic expression in one of the world's most beautiful and challenging mediums.
Students progress through carefully structured modules, building confidence from foundational techniques to expressive and advanced painting.
FOUNDATION SERIES
FOUNDATION SERIES
Designed for beginners with little or no watercolour experience. Available in classes for Ages 10-14, and Ages 15 & above/ adults
Weekly 2 hour class
Maximum 6 students/class
All materials included
$65/lesson, S$600 for 10 lessons
$45/trial *Recommended 1-2 trial lessons
to complete an artwork/project
Intermediate /Advance
Intermediate /Advance
Designed for teenagers and adults wishing to build refined techniques and a personal artistic style. Available for students with prior experience / completed Foundation Series

water control, Flat wash, graded wash, wet-on-wet, sky techniques, trees and foliage, mountains, water reflections, perspective in landscapes

Module 2: Still Life
Delving deeper into:
composition, basic contouring, values, colour mixing, light and shadow, texture, painting different elements like glass, ceramic, fruits, and flowers

Module 3: Human Figure & Portrait
Progressing into:
facial proportions, skin tones, hair, clothing folds, gesture,simple anatomy, expressive portraits

Exploring:
atmospheric perspective, dramatic lighting, urban sketching, architectural subjects, seasonal landscapes, expressive brushwork

foreshortening, transparent objects, metal, glass, floral studies, composition, expressive interpretation
