At Avid Art Studio, we believe that every person is born with an innate ability to create.
Art is more than learning how to draw and paint- it is a way of observing the world, asking questions, solving problems, expressing ideas, and discovering one's unique voice.
Our programmes are thoughtfully designed to nurture creativity alongside artistic skills through exploration, reflection, and meaningful making. Rather than encouraging learners to simply replicate an artwork, we guide them to observe, experiment, think critically, and develop confidence in their own creative decisions.
We believe that when learners, especially children are given the freedom to explore and the guidance to grow, creativity flourishes naturally.

Our Story
Our Story
A Founder's Humble Beginning
Founder- Heidi Koh's love for art started at the age of seven. That passion led her to pursue a Degree in Fashion Design and a career in the fashion industry. After several years in design, she made the courageous decision to leave the industry and pursue art full-time, dedicating herself to creating original paintings that have since been exibited and collected by art enthusiasts.
After becoming a mother, her journery took on an even deeper purpose. She trained as an art educator and began teaching in her daughter's preschool before establishing home-based art classes. it was there that she witnessed something remarkable: when children are given the freedom to observe, explore, experiment, and express their own ideas, their confidence grows and their creativity flourishes in ways that cannot be achieved through copying alone.
These experiences as an artist , educator, and mother inspired the creation of Avid Art Studio.
Here, every lesson is designed to do more than teach drawing or painting techniques. We guide children to think creatively, observe deeply, solve problems with confidence, and develop their own artistic voice. Along the way, they build resilience, patience, and the confidence to embrace mistakes as part of the creative process.
As students grow, so does our teaching. Younger children develop strong creative foundations through exploration, while older students are guided to refine technical skills, explore artistic concepts, and build authentic portfolios that reflect their individuality and aspirations.
At Avid Art Studio, we believe the greatest masterpiece we help create isn't just a painting- it's a confident, curious, and creative individual.
